Shorland Peugeot Cycle Karapiro HERE
Shorland Peugeot Cycle Karāpiro starts and finishes alongside the stunning Lake Karāpiro at the top of the boat ramp within Mighty River Domain located just 30 minutes from Hamilton. Cyclists will ride towards Judd Lane before exiting via Gate 1 of the domain to complete a loop through the stunning rural Waikato countryside. For avid race fans, the course covers a section of the annual Karāpiro 100K Flyer race, which attracts some of New Zealands top professionals to Karāpiro. It is your chance to enjoy an undulating course and take in the beauty of Waikato, New Zealand.

What’s the course like?
Shorland Peugeot Cycle Karāpiro is a fast and relatively flat course, however there is a key intersection for athletes to loop the course and you’ll have to know which way to go.

Are there awards?
We will be awarding exclusive finishers medals to all athletes and podium medals to the first three individuals across the finish line for each bike distance, gender group and age group.
- Age Groups are 39 and Under; 40 and Over
- Gender Groups are Male and Female
- Bike Distances 50km, 90km and 180km
- NOTE: Tandem and E-Bike categories - podium awards for first over the line only for each distance
All entrants will also be entered into the draw for a great range of spot prizes.

Long Course Weekend New Zealand is a unique festival of sport that offers an unbeatable atmosphere. Over three days athletes can choose events from three disciplines (swim, bike, run) and multiple distances to create a tailor-made weekend for their ability and/or training needs. We are delighted to be able to deliver an event that attracts swimmers, cyclists, runners and triathletes together for one weekend. We encourage you to get involved with some other disciplines throughout the weekend, with the choice of a variety of distances on offer each day.
